The Next Big Thing Blog Hop - What's Up J.R.'s Sleeve Now?

Happy Wednesday! It’s 13 Days until Christmas! Has everyone finished their decorating and Christmas shopping? I know I haven't! LOL. Or my usual Christmas cookies either! But there's still two weeks, right?

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! :)

I was invited by one of my best friends, Hayley B. James, to join this blog hop initiative to talk about my latest WIP in progress. Or rather the one that currently has my attention. I do have several WIPs in the works at the moment. My ADD kicks in from time to time and I bounce from story to story. Keep reading to know what’s up and coming!

What is the working title of your book?

Ashes to Ashes

Where did the idea come from for the book?

I’ve always been a fan of paranormal and the ‘underdog’ so to speak. Mixing the two with the latest WIP just seemed to go hand and hand.

What genre does your book fall under?

Paranormal

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?

This is kind of hard to answer. I can’t think of any actors that fit these two particular people. Plus, I’m only 8k words into the story so they’re not as clearly defined in my head yet.

What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?

After a tragic accident, Nathan has spent six years able to see terrors that others don’t even know exist.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

I hope it will be represented by an agency for sure! :) But I may look into Self Publication if it isn’t accepted.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

I’m not done yet. LOL.Still working on it. However, I don’t have the opportunity to work on it every day. :(  I did start this one a few years ago, but have since restarted the beginning chapters and added to it as the original beginning was before my recent experiences that increased my knowledge.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I don’t have any off the top of my head. I haven’t read a lot lately to be honest so it’s hard for me to say.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

With how long this story has been sitting in my ‘to be written’ pile, I really can’t remember what sparked this idea.

What else about your book might interest the reader?

This will be more of a novella series than my usual novel length story. It will circulate around the two main characters rather than the entire story being told in one full book. :)
